About the Contributor

Amber is a software engineer and lifelong creative. She was taught to sew by her grandmother, and spent her youth creating elaborate costumes. As a young adult, she discovered quilting and was hooked! She launched Alderwood Studio after her son was born, and it has grown to include quilt pattern design, a unique modern quilting membership, and a quilt pattern writing course. She resides in Portland, Oregon, with her husband and son.
