This quilt was inspired by shadows on a bookcase. Tina designed this with simplicity and the ability to showcase large swaths of prints or custom quilting in mind.

By using basic components, gentle curves, and inset circles, achieve a modern aesthetic with just a few seams. Skills you will learn to use are glue basting and sewing curves.

About the Contributor

Tina developed an interest in sewing at seven when she began learning to sew by making quilts with her grandmother in their home state of South Carolina. Since then, Tina’s family and career have taken her all over the country; however, one thing she’s always kept with her is a passion for being a heartfelt maker. She is driven by a desire to connect and share her designs with others. The most rewarding product of her sewing is to give makers tips, tricks, and most importantly, the confidence to know they can create beautiful things. Some of Tina’s favorite projects include experimenting with vibrant colors, mixing print and solid fabrics, and unique techniques like trapunto. As a maker, Tina has been featured in blogs, magazines, and even a ribbon winner at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Tina currently creates at her home in Texas with her husband Cameron and constantly smiling four-legged friend, Shannon.
