About the Contributor

Kristi is a quilter, pattern designer, garment sewist, toy maker, teacher, and co-founder of Create and Sustain, a nonprofit organization dedicated to “greening” the quilting and sewing industry. She has been sewing since the age of five years old and has made everything from wedding dresses (she’s even been published twice in Seattle Bride magazine!) and quilts to recovering swivel chairs for the Seattle Seahawks. Since moving to the Atlanta area in 2013, Kristi and her mom have opened The Cotton Farm, a cute little quilt shop in Roswell, GA. Now, you can find her there six days a week sharing her love of sewing and quilting with local members of the community and visitors alike. She is well known for her use of color and ability to throw things together in ways most people wouldn’t consider. Kristi loves to teach and share her knowledge!
