These two pieces designed by Christine use traditional Flying Geese units to creative lovely everyday items. The design uses the no waste flying geese method and takes advantage of negative space to create beautiful quilting lines.

About the Contributor

Christine J. Yi is a piano teacher by day, creative by night, and yogi in the morning. While trained as a classical pianist, she also participates in a variety of artistry from drawing, painting, photography, sewing, sculpting, and much more. All of her creative pursuits and knowledge influence how she makes quilts today, which she began making after receiving a comment from a friend saying she should try it. Her original quilts stem from an improvisational process usually inspired by music and nature. She enjoys mixing her passion of music in with her quilts, often noted in the titles of her pieces as well as the rhythm and movement of the shapes within them.
