Talk Like an Artist by Robert Bosscher

$18.00

Let’s talk about how to talk about art! This lecture is an exploration of the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design, the vocabulary building blocks of talking about art. Specifically, we will explore how these vocabulary basics relate to modern quilting and how using this language can help us expand our understanding of quilts as works of art. This lecture is also intended to elevate quilters’ vocabularies as they continue to think of themselves as artists. By learning the Elements and Principles, participants will be able to identify these aspects in their own work. In turn, having the vocabulary to articulate their thoughts will help the participants grow their ability to think critically about their quilts, and create quilts that more specifically reflect their intent as artists.
