This lecture is inspired by Fiona’s 2023 QuiltCon People’s Choice Award winning quilt – “Ruby Curvelets.” Fiona will be talking about the versatility of the humble quarter circle block and about her journey in exploring this while creating her curvelets quilt. Her aim is to encourage people to use different shapes in their quilts and to try new things even if they might not work out – “Take chances, get messy, and make mistakes!” (Ms. Frizzle, Magic School Bus, 1994)
