Creative Webinar: No-Tails Binding: Mitered Corners by Machine with Linda Hungerford
Every quilter probably knows several ways to sew binding to a quilt, but this method will have you exclaiming, “Ah-ha! How smart!” Up your game with a triple-fantastic finish that gives you a squared-up quilt, machine-bound corners, and binding that’s fully-stuffed with batting. With step-by-step pictures and explanation, you’ll learn how to sew beautiful — even show-worthy — bindings on all your quilts. Linda Hungerford shares how to say so-long to off-kilter quilts, starting and ending tails, ho-hum corners and unstuffed binding every time. If you live for details, this webinar is for you.
Linda Hungerford is a long-time quilter who made the leap from traditional to modern quiltmaking in 2012. She’s the author of a beginner’s quilting book, and numerous quilting-related magazine articles. She's also the founder of the Central Florida MQG and currently gives presentations and teaches domestic machine quilting. Since winning “Best of Show” for domestic machine quilting at the 2012 Machine Quilter’s Showcase, she has been sewing and quilting on her prize — a Bernina. And (don’t hate her for this) she’s married to a quilter’s dream husband, Dan, who does all the grocery-shopping and cooking! The MQG developed out of the thriving online community of modern quilters and their desire to start meeting in person. The founding guild was formed in Los Angeles in October of 2009. Through blogs and the Internet, word spread quickly of the fun they were having and soon guilds started popping up everywhere. The MQG is a nonprofit corporation with IRS 501c3 status. Learn More…
